1. What promise did Jesus make before He returned to heaven? John 14:1-3

3. Jesus foretold the things that would happen on earth before he returned. How will those things affect people? Luke 21:26

5. What two groups of people will be on the earth when He comes? Matthew 25:33

Everyone living on earth when Jesus comes will have decided to follow Him all the way and be obedient in all things, or will have refused to obey Him.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23.

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind” Isaiah 65:17.

“For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain” Isaiah 66:22.

19. When God called Abraham to leave his home and go live in a strange land he obeyed and spent the rest of his life living in tents. What was Abraham looking for? Hebrews 11:10

 Abraham believed God’s promises. Though he never settled in one place, but lived a nomadic life in the land of Canaan, he looked forward to the city that God had promised was he real home.

“But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city” Hebrews 11:16.

20. Does the city John saw in vision have foundations? Revelation 21:19, 20

21. When will the saints come together to worship God? Isaiah 66:23

“And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine” Ezekiel 47:12.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” Matthew 24:23-27.

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” 1 Corinthians 2:9.

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses”  1 Timothy 6:12.

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city” Revelation 22:14.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” 3 John 1:2.
